DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3520″ img_size=”full” onclick=”link_image”][vc_media_grid element_width=”6″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1527174650614-aaa4fa80-4565-6″ include=”3455\,3456\,3457\,3458\,3459\,3460\,3461\,3462\,3463\,3464″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Register Now[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Download Event Schedule (PDF)[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This year’s Panorama Hare Scramble will take place from Friday June 1st to Sunday June 3rd. \nRegistration will be on Friday evening from 4pm – 8pm in the Ski Tip Lodge (Daylodge)\, and Saturday/Sunday morning from 8am – 10:30am. Riders’ meeting at 10:30 and racing starts at 11:00am\, both days. \nThe King of the Hill hill climb race will be back for Friday evening. Registration from 4pm – 5:30pm\, heats start at 6pm. This is a head to head shoot out. We changed the format this year. Each competitor will have at least two chances. That is\, if you lose a race\, you head to the consolation ladder. If you lose two races\, you’re eliminated. Cost is $20 and half the proceeds will go towards cash prizing for the top three competitors. \nNew this year; the Panorama Hare Scramble will be one stop on the western Canadian CXCC series. We anticipate hosting many more competitors from British Columbia and Alberta. Typically\, we have seen 350 racers over the weekend. This year\, we expect in excess of 400 athletes. \nSaturday’s program will feature adult classes on the A & B loops. ‘B’ riders will race at 11am for two hours\, ‘A’ riders at 2pm for 2.5 hours. \nSunday’s program will feature Pee Wees\, Kids\, Ladies’ Beginner/Junior\, and the new Sportsman class. \nThe past course has been approximately a 14 km loop. We’re planning to extend the course at the western edge of the ski resort boundary into the Hopeful Creek drainage. This is dependent upon finding a suitable route and bridging a creek crossing. The course is challenging but not “Erzeberg impossible”. If you’re new to racing\, Panorama is the place to start. \nAttractions such as Eurobungy\, mini-putt\, and Paradise Mining Co. for the kids will be available on Saturday and Sunday\, and the chairlift will be operating on Saturday for spectators. \nWe’re excited to announce that Beta Motorcycles will be on site displaying their line up of off road motorcycles.
